Reception Baseline Assesment
At the start of Reception children will complete the NFER Reception Baseline Assessment. This is completed within the first six weeks of children starting Reception and is made up of short practical activities completed with an adult looking at early literacy, communication, language and mathematics skills. The RBA is not about judging or labelling your child or putting them under any pressure. Your child cannot ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ the assessment. It is a baseline to use to measure the progress school make with their pupils.
