Maple Class (Y2)

Welcome to Maple Class!

Hello and welcome to Year 2 - we have a busy term ahead of us and I can't believe that my amazing Year 2s will soon be moving up to Year 3!

Here are some of the things we will be doing this half term:

In MATHS we will be covering time, statistics and shapes, as well as continuing to practise basic skills.

In ENGLISH we will be following the Read Write Inc. programme, consolidating our phonics knowledge and reading a new book each week.

In GEOGRAPHY we will be learning about oceans and continents and in SCIENCE we will be learning about the properties of materials.

We will have PE every Thursday so children will need to wear correct kit to school - white t-shirt and black shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms.

Reading books should be brought in every Friday to be changed.
