Learning together, growing together

Ash Class (Year 3)

Welcome to Year 3 and Ash Class!

I'm Mr Langley and I'm our Class Teacher. Here's a little bit about me:

- This is my third year teaching at Dovecot Primary School and I love being here.

- I am in school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I spend the other two days a week looking after my 18-month old little boy, Leo. His current interests include swings, balls, and throwing yoghurt at his Dad.

- I especially enjoy reading and talking about books: it's my favourite thing!

- I look after Art and Design and Technology for the whole school and I love doing those subjects in our class.

- When I'm not at school I like hanging out with our two rescue greyhounds, Eli and Patch. They used to be professional racers but now it's impossible to get them off the sofa... Here's a picture of them lounging in their pyjamas.

Hi I'm Miss Pape and I'm the Learning Support Assistant in our class!

I have supported in the school across the full range of the curriculum for 12 years. I am in our class every day, and I teach the class on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Reading in Year 3...

Practising our reading is the single most important thing children can do outside of school to support their learning in school. Your child will be given a range of books and a reading diary to bring home every day to read independently. Your child will need to keep their reading diary and books in their book bags to bring to school every day so that it can be changed for a new one. Your child will read with Miss Pape or myself. The children will also have lots of opportunities to read and enjoy books throughout the week at school and at home.

P.E.

  • The children will be doing PE every Tuesday. Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit
