Hello and welcome to Willow Class!
There are lots of exciting new topics this year:
English - Roman mysteries, recounts, diaries and many other genres of writing.
Science - States of Matter: identifying solids, liquids and gases; evaporation and condensation in the water cycle
Electricity: construct simple circuits; Insulators and conductors.
Humanities - Revolting Romans. When did the Romans rule? How many countries did they take over?
Plus, many other interesting lessons and activities to keep your brains active.
As always, we ask that you encourage your child to read as much as possible at home–both their home/school reading books and books of their own choosing. Every time you read with your child, please mark it in their reading diaries as we’re hoping to give out a record number of Gold reading awards this year.
P.E. will be every Thursday and children must have their kits in on this day.
I will send spellings home every week to practise for a spelling test given the following week.
There will be a Homework book sent home with a range of activities to complete, which links to work taught in class. The children will also complete their own independent research.
I have set up Class Dojo so messages me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Look forward to seeing you all in September
