Welcome to Nursery!
Both Nursery and Reception work closely together as a unit where we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We are able to access both indoor and outdoor environments and enjoy playing and learning together.
Throughout the year we look at broad themes and topics, including ourselves, the seasons and celebrations, to name but a few. In these topics we will aim to follow the children’s interests and ideas. This may lead us into other mini-topics, taking the classes in different directions; so be sure to ask your child, check our learning journey wall and pop back to our page to see our most current learning. Don't forget, we also have our Class Dojo page and 2Simple observations to keep you involved in your child's learning.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to a fantastic year!

People Who Help Us
For this half-term we are looking at the topic "People Who Help Us"
We have been reading different stories, looking at what these people do and how they help others. Below are some photos of the children organising the images of the people into the correct order.
Putting our coats on!
In Nursery we encourage the children to be independent. We teach the children a technique in which the children can successfully put their coats on all by themselves. Below are pictures showing you how they can achieve this:
1. Coat on the floor, feet at the hood
2. Hands go into the arm holes
3. Push arms in and place over your head
4. Coat on!
Ask your child to show you how they do it!
Welcome back to the first term of the Year! The next few weeks will be time for your child to settle back into the Nursery Setting and for us to get to know any new children that have started with us this September. Your child will be active - playing with their friends, learning to be independent and gaining confidence in the choices that they make. I cannot wait to see how they develop over the next few months. I will be keeping Class Dojo updated with all the activities your children accomplish!
